Binger, Oklahoma — The Administration on Aging (AOA) program continues their support for the elder community, offering a range of services designed to better the quality of life for seniors. The AOA facility provides a welcoming space where elders can gather and participate in various activities. With an activities room, sewing machines, an exercise room, and a lending closet, the center is more than just a place to congregate—it’s a hub of engagement and support.

The AOA program works closely with Community Health Representatives (CHR) and Social Services to help assist the diverse needs of seniors. Whether it's through wellness check-ups, social welfare casework, or personalized home check-in, the AOA is here ensuring that elders in the community have access to the care and attention they deserve.

One of the standout services offered by the AOA is the Title VI food program. Recently, the program has delivered 27 meals a day to homebound seniors, averaging eight meals daily. This service ensures that elders in the community, including those in Gracemont, have access to nutritious food, even if they cannot leave their homes. They welcome allCaddo elders to dine in from 11:00am-1:00pm when they can.

In addition to these services, the AOA is also raising awareness about the Senior Community Service EmploymentProgram (SCSEP), which offers temporary, subsidized training for workers aged 55 and older. This program is instrumental in helping older workers acquire new skills that can lead to permanent, non-subsidized employment. By providing these opportunities, the AOA wants to promote economic independence for seniors but also enhancing their overall quality of life.
